At first glance, it may not seem like a biotechnology center and a creative studio have much in common. It turns out, however, that we both have a deep commitment to serving our community and increasing opportunities for equity.

Meet our newest client: The North Carolina Biotechnology Center (NCBiotech), the first state-sponsored biotechnology initiative in the country. They are dedicated to supporting the growth and success of biotechnology businesses in the state.

Recently, NCBiotech and its partners were awarded funding through the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s Build Back Better Regional Challenge to create a multi-pronged approach to increase knowledge of life sciences manufacturing training and careers in North Carolina. One of the program’s key components is the Life Sciences Manufacturing Ambassador Program. It will train 250 Ambassadors over a two-year period who will share training and job opportunities in life sciences manufacturing with at least 2,500 community members in historically underserved communities.

Miel Creative is uniquely positioned to help NCBiotech achieve its visionary goals. Our strong ties to local communities and statewide partners mean that we not only understand the challenges of accessing quality training and careers, but we also can envision new and beautiful ways to make that access equitable.

By inviting us to join this exciting project, NCBiotech and its partners are trusting Miel Creative to craft a marketing and communications strategy, create and manage content that supports the Ambassadors, and engage with the broader North Carolina community around life sciences manufacturing opportunities.

We are excited and honored to be on this journey and look forward to learning from the Ambassadors and the communities that they will serve.
